World Cup Offers with Bet365

By | June 21, 2018

With the first round of games over and well in to the second set, its time to look at the trends and see if we can find value in any bets.

  • No team has shone yet. Spain looked great against Portugal but average against Iran. Brazil weren't great, Argentina, Germany and France all looked average. Belgium came good in the end but it was against Panama.
  • A lot of penalties have been given. VAR is partly to blame but also some stupid decisions by defenders.
  • There have been a lot of own goals.
  • 1-0 is the most popular scoreline. Seems like teams are happy to score and hang on to their lead.

With this in mind, here are some general tips

  • Unders a better bet than overs. Can always hedge in running if the game looks open
  • Underdogs are good to bet on but only the handicap, they still lose but not by a big margin.
  • Penalty given still is probably overpriced, even though many bookies have slashed their odds
  • Betting in running is a gold mine.

Champions League Semi Final Tips First Leg

By | April 23, 2018

Been a while since I wrote anything. Will be writing more next season. This week is the first leg of the Champions League Semi-finals. Betting wise, these picks are quite simple and fairly obvious, if you look at recent form and how the teams have been playing.

Tuesday 24th April 2018 Liverpool vs Roma

Liverpool are strong favourites here and rightly so. The knocked the previous tournament favourites, Manchester City, by beating them comprehensively over the 2 legs. I think they are the team to beat this year and should be clear favourites, especially since they have an easier route to the final.

Liverpool are sitting comfortably in the league in 3rd. They effectively gave up second place after losing to Manchester United the other week. They rested players in their last game against West Brom which they drew 2-2. They'll be fresh and up for this game.

Roma sit in 3rd in Serie A, a long way from the run away leaders, Juventus and Napoli. They did manage to knock out Barcelona though but from what I heard, it was more that Barcelona were happy to sit on their 4-1 home win and managed to lose 3-0. Serie A isn't a strong league at all.

I really fancy Liverpool to win this by a couple of goals and put the tie to bed. Asian handicap is -1 @ 1.88 which I like at Bet365

Wednesday 25th April 2018 Bayern Munich vs Real Madrid

Bayern have walked the Bundesliga again. They have demolished all comers. Last round in the Champions League wasn't plain sailing though. They luckily won away at Seville and played out a 0-0 in the return leg. Seville aren't a great side either, struggling to get 7th in La Liga.

Real Madrid are struggling. They really struggled against Juventus in the last round, needing a late penalty to get through, with the way the game was going, Juventus would have probably gone through if it went to extra time. In the league, they are well behind the leaders and struggled to get a point at home vs Athletic Bilbao. They have raised their game in the Champions League but I think this will be a bridge too far.

Its Bayern all the way for me. I would personally have them at odds on so 2.05 at Bet365 is great.

Current odds at Bet365 are

Liverpool 1.53, draw 4.5 and Roma 6.5

Bayern Munich 2.05 Draw 3.75 and Real Madrid 3.75

Fro winning it all, I'd suggest Liverpool at 3.25. Whoever they face in the final, you have got to think that they'll beat them.

Odds are 3.25 at Bet365

Liverpool specials at Bet Victor

By | June 3, 2017

Liverpool FC are now sponsored by Betvictor. They have a full page of specials that they have priced up. They are 13.0 to win the league which isn't going to happen. The old joke is that all bookies profit comes from Liverpool fans betting on them to win the league. Arsenal probably contribute some to be fair though.

Champions League Final Tips

By | May 31, 2017

Saturday is the final of arguably the finest football tournament in the world. Real Madrid take on Juventus in Cardiff. Its been a cracking tournament and the final is between arguably the best two teams in Europe at the moment. Perhaps the mighty Bayern Munich should be here instead of Real but they are certainly the top 3 teams in Europe now.

Madrid, I think were lucky to get past Bayern. A couple of sending offs really did help them. They were fortunate to have killed the tie off with Atletico at home too as they were heavily under pressure in the return leg. Madrid have been free scoring but they haven't come across this Juventus team who are really tight. The only conceded two in the group stages and shut out Barcelona over 2 legs. Barcelona didn't even look like scoring in the whole 90 minutes. They only conceded one to Monaco in the knock out stages.

In terms of who is going to win this, you could make an argument either way. I do prefer Juventus though. They are hard to break down and Dybala is one of the best strikers I've seen this year. Ronaldo getting a little old now and not banging them in as much as he has done in previous seasons. I'd price this up as a coin toss type of bet. Any of the 3 results wouldn't be a surprise.

Looking at the way Madrid are slight favourites, it makes sense to oppose them for the value. On the Asian Handicap you can get Juventus +0 at 2.07. Draw no bet which is the same is only 1.9.

At bet365 they have the bore draw offer too. I can see this being a tight game with a single goal deciding it. Juventus 1-0 is 8.0 whereas Madrid 1-0 is 7.5. If you bet on these and it ends 0-0 you get your money back.
